See 2 Reasons Why Lionel Messi Will Not Play PSG’s Next Game

    Lionel Messi

Paris Saint-next Germain’s game will be away at Metz, and it has been confirmed that striker Lionel Messi will not be making the trip.

After spending over 20 years in Barcelona, where he won six Ballon d’Or, he has had an apparent poor start to his career in Paris.

Perhaps he has too many expectations of him, or perhaps it is the heartbreak of having to leave Barcelona, but the disappointing concern now is that Lionel Messi’s career has not started well in France.

The 34-year-old was expected to fit in nicely with an attack that already included Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, two of the best players in the world, but this has not been the case as the Argentine has yet to score a goal or provide an assist.

Mauricio Pochettino’s pressure has mounted after his team struggled to a 1-1 draw with Club Brugge in last week’s Champions League game and only beat Lyon 2-1 thanks to a last-minute goal from Mauro Icardi.

As a result, we examine two possible reasons why the player will not accompany the team to Metz for the Ligue 1 match on Wednesday.

    1. Injury: Due to an injury, Lionel Messi will be unable to play against Metz.

PSG confirmed on Tuesday that Messi will miss their upcoming match against Metz due to a left knee injury discovered during an MRI scan on Tuesday morning.

    2. Disappointed: Lionel Messi appeared dissatisfied with his poor form at Paris Saint-Germain and may be dissatisfied with himself.

After being replaced in the 75th minute, Messi refused to shake hands with Pochettino on Monday, continuing his frustration on the bench.

PSG should be able to cope without Messi, but even if they do, it adds to what has been a difficult start for him since leaving Barcelona.
