What’s the difference between having sex and making love?

There appears to be a distinction between making love and having sex.

And the only difference is in the state of mind of both people participating in the act, as well as the level of connection and all the circumstances surrounding and leading up to the act.

Sex is a primitive desire that is just as instinctive and natural as hunger for food. The desire to satisfy one’s lust for sex and experience the pleasure of humping is not on the same level as the desire to make love.

Chimpanzees, bunnies, bulls, and zebras all have sex. That is precisely the category in which that need falls. It’s a thing that doesn’t have the emotional component that sex often does.

So share your own take on the matter in the comment box:

Thanks for sharing. At first, I thought it was all about semantics. Now, I know the difference.

Making love has more spiritual connotations than just mere having sex.
