There are various ways to show love to your spouse when you are not physically together. I do not mean not being together for months/years or a situation where one lives in country A and the other in country B.
By temporarily, I mean when you go to work and she goes to work too. Or you are at home but she went for a function somewhere or just any instance that you are not together temporarily.
How can you still show love to each other despite the distance and before you meet again in hours?
One major way to show love to them when you are not together is to PRAY for them.
Prayer is perhaps the deepest show of love to your spouse.
As it were, you cannot pray for a person you do not wish well.
So, praying for your spouse is a deep show of love.
But how can you do this when you are at work or on a journey?
You can adopt a breath prayer.
I first read of breath prayer in Rick Warren’s Purpose-Driven Life.
At a breath, just say a short prayer for your spouse.
God bless my Timmie.
God strengthen my Sweetheart.
God heal Adewale.
These are short prayers that won’t hinder your work on the system even while at the office.
You could do so even while in transit, etc.
And this is doable as many times as possible in the day.
When you see the result of your breath prayer for your spouse, you are seeing the result of your love.
But I am only engaged and not married.
Oh, yes. Breath-pray for your fiance/fiancee too.
Will you try this?
See you next time.
