Sergio Aguero, Man City’s all-time leading scorer with 260 goals, is leaving the club after a decade.
Injury and illness limited his appearances in his final season at City; Argentina forward arrived from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
Barca unveiled the 32-year-old on Monday. Sergio Aguero is joining Barcelona from Manchester City on a deal until the end of the 2022/23 season and was unveiled at the Nou Camp after signing his contract on Monday. The forward was presented in a Barca kit and greeted the media on Monday evening after completing a medical in the afternoon prior to signing a two-year deal. Aguero will join Barcelona on a free transfer, although his buyout clause has been placed at €100 million (£86 million) by the Catalan club.
After his City contract expires on July 1, he will become a Barcelona player.Pep Guardiola notified City’s record goalscorer of the club’s decision not to renew his contract at the end of March, resulting in Aguero’s exit from the Etihad. Due to injury and illness, the 32-year-old has been limited in his appearances this season. He was signed from Atletico Madrid in 2011.
