‘Nigeria’s satellite has expired, Now functioning on ‘Grace’ – DG of National space Agency says
Dr. Halilu Shaba, Director-General of the National Space Research and Development Agency (NASRDA), has revealed that Nigeria’s satellite has expired.
Remember that the satellite was first licensed in 2011.
Shaba further revealed that the satellite runs on the principle of ‘Grace.’
The satellite is frequently utilized for security purposes; it has a seven-year life expectancy, and a replacement should have been created long ago.
The satellite we’re using ran out of fuel in 2018, yet it’s still providing us with the data we need thanks to ‘Grace.’
It’s a story that can’t be told because so many things in the country are vying for the same resources,” he added.
