See The Update That Has Been Done To VAR For The Next Premier League Season
According to Sky Sports, the Premier League’s Video Assistant Referees (VAR) will start using “thicker lines” in games next season to determine marginal decisions.
This agreement was achieved at the annual general meeting of clubs on Thursday, during which Mike Riley, the chief referee of Professional Game Match Officials Limited [PGMOL], gave a presentation.
Following VAR comments from Premier League clubs last season, the PGMOL is anticipating that the adjustment will benefit the attacking team.

However, it is unknown whether the bigger lines for offside would be utilized in FA Cup matches next season.
Under the laws of the game, the International Football Association Board [IFAB] does not prescribe a maximum thickness of lines.
At the 2019 Club World Cup in Qatar, FIFA, which has operational responsibility for VAR, tested semi-automated offside technology.
