Lukaku Reacts After Chelsea Win Against Aston Villa

Chelsea, the European Champions, defeated visiting Aston Villa 3-0 at Stamford Bridge on Saturday in a Matchday Four clash, with star striker Romelu Lukaku scoring twice.

The 28-year-old Belgian, who joined the Blues this summer from Italian Serie A outfit Inter Milan, scored in both halves – in the 15th and 93rd minutes – to help the Blues go joint-top with Manchester United, while also maintaining their positive start to the 2021/2022 campaign, in which they are still unbeaten in the league and have not suffered any defeat in four matches.

Lukaku revealed after the game that scoring at Stamford Bridge was something he had wished for since he was a child. “It’s been my dream since I was 11,” he explained. I’ve worked very hard to get to this point.” “I was up and down at first, but I’ve found a certain consistency in the last three years,” he added. I just keep working with my experience and hard work.

“It’s a good start but we have to keep working. We know this year’s going to be very competitive. A lot of teams are going to be fighting for the title.”

Lukaku has already scored three goals in the league. In the North West London Derby, he scored his first goal of the season as Chelsea defeated Arsenal 2-0 at the Emirates Stadium.

He is expected to be a contender for the Premier League Golden Boot at the season’s end. Most importantly, Chelsea will be hoping that his goals will help them win the league and possibly defend their Champions League title next season.
