Before marriage, love is given so much attention. It’s expressive with lovers’ languages, kind words, display of lovey-dovey moves, and giving gifts to back it up. It is often accompanied by care, commitment, good communication, and many coordinated activities to boost it and strengthen the bond to make it thrive.
In marriage, love often becomes a lone-ranger and a beggar for expression, attention, care, commitment, communication, etc. Many beautiful things unfollow love suddenly, and it begins to suffer neglect. When it’s unattended to, it grows lean and gets sick and could die of starvation. Why?
“But I have this complaint against you. You don’t love me or each other as you did at first! Revelation 2:4 (NLT)
May the Lord revive/heal genuine love and make it thrive again in various marriages in the name of Jesus.
