2 Interesting quotes my mother likes to make – share yours
The African woman is full of words, she is expressive and would not hold back when the opportunity comes to express how she feels inside.
As a young growing boy in my mother’s house, there were 2 interesting quotes my mother loved to make and those quotes have come to become a drive for me wherever I find myself in life;
I no lazy, I just tire:
While she was still an employee at a major company in the country, sometimes she came back home tired and worked up. After the pleasantries we share together with her on her return, she stands to her feet on her way to freshen up she makes this statement; “I no lady, I just tire”
These words guide me in the understanding that one must not allow laziness as an option in life but at certain moments there’s a need to rest and take a deep breath, you cant solve all the problems in the world in one day.
If e too easy, nah child’s play:
This one was too deep for me to understand back in the day, I didn’t see the figurative meaning of those words. But as I grew older I began to see how much meaning those words have. The essence of life getting a bit more difficult the older a person gets.
It means people don’t take light situations seriously and how, whether you are a banker, bricklayer, or even engineer, life gets serious and responsibilities are compounded the higher you get in life.
