Shocking! Ebonyi state governor reveals the identity of unknown gunmen
Governor David Umahi of Ebonyi State has revealed the identity of these unknown gunmen claiming that the unidentified gunmen responsible for the country’s mounting security difficulties are indigenes of the region.
According to Umahi, the unknown gunmen are not truly unknown, and that they are young men and women who, as future leaders, should preserve the interests of the South East.
On Tuesday, the governor appeared on Channels Television’s Sunrise Daily program revealing the identity of these unknown gunmen
Umahi instructs police to defend themselves and their stations from gunmen.
Umahi, who also condemned the assassination of certain security personnel in the line of duty, asked the region’s youth to quit allowing themselves to be killed.
According to the governor,
“When you have infested firewood, the ants will undoubtedly flock to it. “Let our people speak out and tell the world that the unknown gunmen are not truly unknown gunmen; they are our young men and women who will defend our country tomorrow; they should quit allowing themselves to be killed.”
“Stop confronting the security agencies with our people.
There will be no need for security operatives to be dispatched if government properties are not burned, and once they are sent, you cannot advise them how to conduct their duty when they are faced with death.
“Many of them have families; they have lost their life.
We must also understand that security operatives’ lives are the life of our brothers and sisters; we are murdering ourselves, and this must stop.
In May, a group of unknown gunmen attacked the Ugbuodo police divisional headquarters in Ebonyi Local Government Area, killing one police officer.
In April, unidentified gunmen stormed a bank and killed a police officer, while three people were reportedly shot and robbed in Onueke market in Ebonyi State’s Ezza South Local Government Area.
