How my mum inspired my skits, by Porkupyne
Osagie Idedia nicknamed Porkupyne, a popular Edo state comedian, has revealed how his mother influenced his skits on Instagram.
In a discussion, the rising comedian explained how the timely payment of his mother’s pension in Edo state motivated him to promote some of the government’s good achievements.
He said, “When this current administration came, I was hearing from my mum that they just paid her pension on the 27th or 28th day of the month. I just felt so this thing can even happen like this, they can pay these people before the month-end so why owe them for like six to seven months?
“This act prompted my desire to encourage the government by doing comedy skits about what the government has done, the roads, hospitals, and schools. It was because of the many skits that I met the deputy governor’s wife who commended my efforts and got me on board. This administration has since supported my talent hunt show in 2020,” said Porkupyne.
Idedia who recently arrived from the UK would be hosting the second edition of his talent show “Next Star Talent Hunt” on December 12, 2021.
Porkupyne, an Ambrose Alli University microbiology graduate, was the first runner-up in the Peak talent event in 2010.
