How Long Should You Date Before Getting Married?

How Long Should You Date Before Getting Married

Marriage is not something you rush to do, it’s something u settle down and discuss with your partner because it’s a lifetime commitment.

We have some people who met their spouse and under two weeks they were pulling marriage strings, and we also have some who after like 6 years they finally tied the not.  Basically, I don’t think there is a particular time.  The reason being that the duration of dating doesn’t determine a “happy ever after” in marriage. Some people married after few months and lived happily ever after. Some met for few weeks, got married and are having a blissful marriage. While some even dated for years, enjoyed good courtship, but their relationship crashed after marriage. Some were co-habiting for years, but after marriage, things fell apart. The true “colours” were revealed.

To me personally, If i’m dating a guy i don’t think we should date more than 8 months before getting marroed, because by then we should know each other in and out and if we can condole each other.

It should not be more than a year. One year is enough for you to study your woman and observe everything about her and her family if you are good to go or not.

The truth is, there is no definite answer to this question. But it shouldn’t be too long or too short.
Marriage experts say 6months to one year
