Guys, If Your Lady Ask For an Engagement Ring of N500k, Will You Marry Her?
A ring is given as an engagement gift to a prospective spouse by a partner when they propose marriage or immediately after a marriage proposal is accepted. It is a formal agreement to marry in the future.
A Nigerian lady has taken to Twitter to warn potential suitors about the type of engagement ring she desires.
According to the lady known on Twitter as @miss magnolia20, her suitors should not bother proposing marriage to her if they cannot afford an engagement ring worth N500k or more.
“If you can’t afford an engagement ring worth 500k and above, don’t bother to propose to me please.”
However, her tweet has elicited a wide range of reactions on social media, with netizens criticizing her for her requirement to say ‘Yes’ to a man.
