Can You Resign From Banking Job To Start Hawking Bread?
Many stories have been told about young and vibrant Nigerians who were given the opportunity to start a job in the banking sector, for which they were presumably well-compensated, but chose to resign in order to pursue other opportunities.
Aside from the fact that working in the banking sector is rather demanding, the pay is far too good to leave such employment. As a result, one could ask why a staff member of a new generation bank would quit his or her job to start hawking bread.
There is a viral story about Ali Dahiru, a Polytechnic graduate in Kaduna who quit his job at Zenith Bank and started hawking bread, and thinks his decision has been a blessing.
According to reports, Dahiru is a Higher National Diploma holder who graduated from Kaduna Polytechnic with a degree in Cooperative Economics and Management.
According to him, his interest in the bread industry originated when he realized that a man who sold bread to the bank was earning more money selling bread than he was earning at the bank on a monthly basis.
As a graduate, can you resign from a banking job to start bread hawking? Let’s hear your opinion.
