Super Eagles’ Goalkeeper, Francis Uzoho’s contract With His Club Terminated
Apoel FC’s contract with Francis Uzoho has been terminated.
The Cypriot First Division club confirmed that both parties had mutually agreed to part ways.
Despite having two years left on his current contract, the Super Eagles goalkeeper, Francis Uziho will now pursue a career elsewhere.
Following his loan spell at AC Omonia, the 22-year-old signed a three-year contract with the Legend in July 2020 for an undisclosed fee.
Francis Uzoho appeared in 18 league games for Sofronis Avgousti’s men during the 2020/2021 season, finishing third on the log.
The contract of Uzoho was terminated without explanation.
“The company Apoel Football (public) limited announces the completion of its cooperation with goalkeeper Francis Uzoho.
“We wish Francis the best of luck,” a statement from the club website read.
Fancis Uzoho is currently training with the Nigeria national team in preparation for their 2022 Fifa World Cup qualifiers against Liberia and Cape Verde.
