FIFA Bans Nigerian Coach Remi Amadi For Two Years
Remi Amadi, coach of Cofine FC in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, has been banned from all football-related activities for two years by the world football governing body.
This decision was communicated to the Nigeria Football Federation by the world body’s Disciplinary Committee, and it is a result of a similar ban imposed on the gaffer by the NFF Disciplinary Committee at its meeting on August 16, 2021.
The NFF Integrity Unit forwarded the NFF Disciplinary Committee’s decision and all relevant documentation to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee in a letter dated August 25, 2021, requesting the Committee to extend the sanction to have a worldwide effect, in accordance with article 66, FIFA Disciplinary Rules.
The Football governing body’s Disciplinary Committee activated the global effect at its meeting on October 5, 2021.
