Church Or Traditional Wedding: Which One Do You Prefer?
The discussion of Church or Traditional Wedding will continue to get generate mixed reactions from the people. Why?
The white wedding, as its name implies, is the culture, system or, method (including the court) through which a white man marries. It also doesn’t have to take place in a church.
Coming together of a man and woman used to be just in the traditional way before the advent of civilization, but white weddings became a part of us owing to colonization and our ideas that white men’s things are superior.
Another reason white weddings became a part of us is the unavoidable fact that we are a very religious people and the Church as a whole has derailed from its foundation.
Finally, while God created marriage, he did not create a certain sort of marriage. He only instituted dowry and both parties’ witnesses, not even the ceremony. The ritual was created by us based on our respective traditions.
And getting married in a church does not ensure that your marriage will be protected or last. Convince yourself by reading newspapers or visiting traditional courts on a weekly basis. The presence of God is there wherever you choose to pay your dowry, and marriage is sealed!
