Chelsea demolished Spurs with a magnificent second-half display at the Tottenham Stadium on a merciless evening of football.

The first half was drab and dismal, but the Blues stepped up and rolled over their opponents after a tactical modification at halftime.

At Tottenham Stadium, the Blues are rated as follows:

Kepa Arrizabalaga – 7 – Despite the fact that he had little to do, the manner in which he arrived to collect crosses exuded confidence.

    Andreas Christensen – 7 – Consistently good.

Thiago Silva – 9 –  Spurs have been tormented by set-pieces. Chelsea took the lead thanks to a magnificent header, and he almost scored a third for his club later in the game. He was also outstanding at the back, directing the Spurs attack (even when he was isolated against the elusive Son) and making a team-high six clearances. His communication and leadership abilities are quite amazing.

Antonio Rudiger – 9 – As dazzling as ever. A vital clearing was made to avoid a Spurs tap-in, and he was otherwise unstoppable. His ferocity and anger always set the tone. Chelsea’s impenetrable defensive wall’s heart, soul, and fundamental stone.

Cesar Azpilicueta – 7 – Unwavering in his work ethic.

Mateo Kovacic – 8 – Was a tackle machine in the centre (6 tackles made – team-highest) and carried the offence forward admirably, particularly after the halftime tactical adjustment. During Spurs’ 0-3 loss to Chelsea, Mateo Kovai made more successful tackles (6) than any other player on the field, and no opponent dribbled past him.

Jorginho – 7 – More passes attempted and completed than anybody else on the field. I’m really confident.

Marcos Alonso – 8 – Brilliant corner for Chelsea’s goal, followed by a shot that was blocked off the line. With his early performances this season, he has fully eclipsed Ben Chilwell and is now a confirmed key part of Chelsea’s assault.

Mason Mount – 6 – A good counter-attacking and counter-pressing performance, but his final pass was terrible. At halftime, he was replaced, allowing Chelsea to progress.

Kai Havertz – 5 – Had a few good counter runs, but didn’t use the ball efficiently towards the end.

Romelu Lukaku – 7 – Exceptionally bright movement, but unable to take advantage of his limited opportunities. Werner was brilliantly portrayed.

    Substitutes:

N’Golo Kanté (for Mount 46′) – 7 – Made a significant contribution to the game. Chelsea’s midfield hardened as a result of his appearance, and he scored the second goal (admittedly via a heavy deflection). Something about his presence electrifies everyone in the room.

Timo Werner (70′ for Havertz) – 6 – After coming in, he blew many big chances to score. Werner is at his best. He did, however, bring up the third goal for Rudiger with a wonderful cross.
