Can A Pastor Run A Casino Business?

    Casinos

Gambling has taken root in a variety of ways. Casino in church, for example, has played a significant impact. Charity raffles have also existed. They’ve worked together to change public perceptions about gambling. When numerous forces pushed for the legalization of casinos and state-run lotteries in recent years, many Christians were willing to listen.

The desire of churches and charitable institutions to raise funds through casinos and raffles was probably the most powerful force behind the reintroduction of legal gambling. Church-sponsored gaming has evolved beyond casinos.

Churches conduct their own games for fund-raising purposes, and in most cases, these games are gambling operations. According to a number of religious figures, gambling has damaged the churches’ moral standing. When it came to a fight in state legislatures over big-time gambling, churches often had little clout, either with the public or with legislators.

In Catholic tradition, there isn’t the same kind of principled objection to gambling or legalized gaming that you may find in other religious traditions.

On the other hand, a vast body of Protestant teaching regards gambling as antisocial and anti-Christian behaviour. As legalized gambling spreads, some Protestant churches that have not succumbed to the allure of raffles and bingo have become increasingly concerned.

As a result, Protestant pulpits, particularly in the South, have become increasingly vocal in their condemnation of gambling as a force that destroys society’s fabric. It also features a researcher who believes that widespread gambling could harm the country in the long run.

What are the moral, ethical, and religious objections to gambling? Should a pastor run gambling operations, such as casinos?  Let’s hear your opinion in the comment box.

hmmm, it would seem suspicious, besides the bible preaches against any form of betting or gambling.

For me, a casino is a business but it depends on how some christians will look at it.

The scripture is cleared on this. A pastor should not involve in a gambling.

I am not surprised. The fire is no longer burning in many churches again. Pastors do whatsoever they like without thinking about what will happen thereof in the body of christ.
