In Nigeria, we have different Mega Churches and they have definitely come to stay. It is no more a sooth –saying that the Living Faith church popularly known as Winners Chapel which has Bishop David Oyedepo as its president and founder, started the construction of a 160 billion Naira legacy Project called “The Ark”.
The building structure which is so magnificent has at its center a 109,345 capacity auditorium. The building which is said to cup in billions of Naira has been lauded by many believers in Nigeria as a landmark structure for Christianity.
Many people have been wondering who is the architect behind the design of this magnificent building and he is no other person than Architect Gbenga Alalade Johnson.
Architect Gbenga Alalade Johnson is the brain behind the design of the “Ark”. Architect Gbenga is a member of the Living Faith Church and a graduate of the church owned renowned Covenant University. He is a Nigerian locally bred Architect and graduated with a B.Sc. degree in Architecture, from Covenant University in 2006. He also obtained his MSc and PhD degrees all in architecture from Covenant University. This is not the first project he is embarking for the church has he has also concluded other numerous projects for them.

Bishop Oyedepo made this known to members of the church during the inauguration of the multibillion Ark project, and he called to the altar to bless Arc. Alalade Johnson who was the brain behind the design of the Ark.
Other projects he designed for the church as an employee of Covenant University are: Covenant university stadium, Covenant university senate building, Kingdom Heritage Model School, Faith Theatre (now canceled), The Ark, Living Faith President Lodge, Church Hangar MMIA, Canaan City (Phase 1), Power plant, Post graduate residence, Covenant University Center for Research & Discovery.
Architect Gbenga is an asset to the Living faith Church and to the Church of Christ in Nigeria.
