Read What Atiku Abubakar Begs Nigerians To Do in 2023
Atiku Abubakar, a former presidential candidate for the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has said that insecurity under President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration is the worst in 70 years.
Atiku made the comment while bemoaning the country’s state of insecurity and economic suffering under the current administration.
Atiku told reporters in Port Harcourt, Rivers State, that the PDP has plans to clarify such inaccuracies.
The former Vice President stated that the PDP would enact policies to address the country’s insecurity, economic, and unemployment issues.
He asked Nigerians to vote for the PDP again in 2023.
Atiku said, “I have never seen insecurity this bad. I am 70 years plus, I have never seen it this bad in terms of security challenges, in terms of economy, in terms of unemployment. This is the worst.
“Why can’t you give us time? We will come up with our policies. We will present them to Nigerians when the time comes.
“We have done that before. Under PDP, we recorded the highest economic growth, the best foreign reserves, we reduced unemployment. You know that we can do it?”
Under Buhari’s government, banditry, kidnapping, and terrorism have increased at an alarming rate.
Bandits have targeted schools and religious centres in the north. In the northern region of the country, several students, religious leaders, and worshippers have been kidnapped and slaughtered.
Kidnapping has been steadily increasing in the southern region of the country.
