27-year-old Angry Ghanaian Woman Beheads Her Husband
An angry woman is said to have beheaded a man. Rachel Tetteh, 27, was said to have beheaded her husband in Ghana’s Eastern Region. On Sunday, October 3, 2021, the incident occurred in Tei Glover, a farming community near Akyem Bosuso in the Fanteakwa South District.
The suspect was apprehended by police, while her husband, Lartey Daniel, 35, was deposited at the morgue for autopsy. According to local media reports, the couple got into an argument over alleged cheating.
While the deceased was walking to the farm, the suspect followed him and allegedly pushed him to the ground before taking control of the cutlass and allegedly cutting off his head. According to DSP Ebenezer Tetteh, Public Relations Officer of the Eastern Regional Police Command, who confirmed the incident to the media, the police dispatched investigators to the scene after receiving information about the crime around 7:30 a.m. Sunday, October 3, 2021.
According to DSP Tetteh, police discovered the deceased’s lifeless body in ash trousers over a white T-shirt lying in a pool of blood with a severed head along the footpath to the farm.
The crime scene was inventoried and the body was examined by police. The body was recovered and taken to the Akyem Tafo Government Hospital Morgue, where it will be autopsied. According to the PPRO, the suspect was apprehended and the cutlass she used to commit the heinous crime was recovered. The suspect is currently being held by police and assisting with the investigation.
