Air Peace Chairman, Allen Onyema Reveals That President Buhari Does Not Hate Igbos
Allen Onyema, the chairman of Air Peace, has expressed hope that President Muhammadu Buhari will release pro-Biafra activist Nnamdi Kanu. Onyema stated that if approached properly, Buhari would release Kanu. Over the weekend, the business magnate spoke at an event in Lagos.
Onyema emphasized that the president is not opposed to the Southeast. He urged the people of the Southeast to fight injustice with wisdom. Allen Nwachukwu, a PDP chieftain described as a political colossus, has been buried.
According to Onyema: “This president, President Muhammadu Buhari, quote me, I say it again, he is not against Ndigbo. If you approach him the right way, he will listen. “President Muhammadu Buhari will one day release our brother [Nnamdi Kanu]. “Myself, I don’t know Buhari but I have put forward certain requests, and he honoured them. He honoured my requests.”
This comes after Buhari’s visit to Imo State, which drew criticism for ignoring the Southeast. Prior to his trip, Buhari was chastised for marginalizing Igbos in his administration. Kanu, meanwhile, is being held by the Department of State Services, DSS, following his re-arrest.
