Super Eagles Captain, Ahmed Musa Gifts His Teammates 5 Million Naira
Ahmed Musa, the captain of the Super Eagles, has promised his teammates a sum of N5 million to share.
Musa was supposed to receive N10 million after his 100th cap for the national team, which he earned in a 2-1 win over Cape Verde.
In honour of the milestone, Amaju Pinnick, President of the Nigeria Football Federation, announced that the federation will begin to reward every player who reaches the centurion mark.
Immediately following Pinnick’s remark, Musa distributed half of his reward to his teammates as a way of thanking them for their support.
“I really appreciate the gift, Mr. President and on behalf of my family, I will say thank you very much to everyone and for the coach, I really appreciate what you’ve been doing for me. You have made me who I am today and I thank you very much.
“And for my teammates, I don’t have anything to say and for the 10m, I’m giving out 5 million naira to the team,” Musa said.
