The strength of a building is not determined by its roof or wall but by its foundation. A shallow foundation will make a sky scrapper crash in disaster. Marriage, like a physical house, needs a very good foundation for a joyful marriage. Your eyes will be open to how to lay a good foundation for a joyful marriage

8 GOOD FOUNDATIONS FOR A JOYFUL MARRIAGE

    1. Genuine conversion: Surrender your life to God totally if you desire a blissful home.

    2. Prayer: Prayer is a must for singles/couples that will not miss it maritally.

    3. Good character: You must take a closer look at yourself and deal with all bad characters like pride, anger, lying, prayerlessness, sadness, malice, resentment, bitterness, night crawling, laziness, dirtiness, etc.

    4. God’s leading: (Rom. 8:14) Allow God to lead you. You will not regret it and that is the basis of a joyful marriage

    5. Patience: Patience is a virtue. You must exhibit it. Do not rush into marriage, a joyful marriage does not come as a result of desperation or impatience. Haste can make one waste. Do not worry. Do not hurry. God has not forgotten you.

    6. Love: You must make sure you are in love and that the person is in love with you too before you say “Yes, I do”.

    7. Pure Courtship: You must have a courtship that is devoid of sex or immorality. The focus of your courtship must be to glorify God.

    8. Good preparation for marriage: Most singles prepare very well for a wedding but very few of them do prepare for marriage. This explains why most marriages crash shortly after solemnization.

To attain and retain joyful marriage, it is expected to do the following mentioned above, it is then you can have a joyful marriage.
