Inflation: Here are the 5 most expensive foods on the market right now.

5 most expensive foods This our beloved country!. The prices of things just dey go up anyhow, anytime you enter the market the first thing the seller tells you now is ,customer the prices of things don go up o and this is a woman  you bought something from yesterday, its as bad as that.

The prices of things are not just increasing its increasing at a very unhealthy rate, and salaries are not increasing if for anything they are even reducing with some people even loosing their jobs in this trying times. Garri this days is Gold, even pure water! Naija which way.

You’d be amazed if you went to the market to buy anything these days.
Nigeria’s cost of living is exorbitant.

Nigerian youths coined the term’sapa’ to describe the situation of not having enough money but still having to spend it.

So i put together 5 items whose prices have gone up exponentially

Here are the top five most costly foods:

    Tomato paste

Tomato paste was something you bought when you did not have money to buy fresh tomatoes. Nowadays if you are buying tomato paste you are rich. It went from N50 to N150 or N200 in some places

    GARRI

This is another food you bought when “money no too dey”, you could get a Derica (a measuring tin) for as low as N50, now Garri! Garri ooo is as high as N600 for the same measurement.

    PLANTAIN

A bunch of our dear plantain used to be like 100 naira or 200 naira depending on your location, Now the price has doubled if not tripled

    Sachet water

The people who drink bottled water will not relate but sachet water used to be N5 for a unit and N100 for a bag of water. Now it is N20 for a sachet and N200 for a bag of water. The price doubled!

    Chicken

In the good old days when you can get half a kilo of chicken for N650, nowadays it is priced something between N1800 to N2000.

Rice nko? Let’s not even go there

Familylifers tell me the prices of things in your area and how bad they have become!
