23-year-old Nigerian Forward, Emmanuel Dennis Scores First Goal For His New Club, Watford FC
Emmanuel Dennis, a Super Eagles forward, made history on Saturday when he scored on his Premier League debut for Watford.
Dennis, a three-time Belgian league winner with Club Bridge, scored the opening goal in Watford’s 3-2 home triumph over Aston Villa at Vicarage Road.
Emmanuel Dennis, 23, who has played twice for the Super Eagles, opened the scoring inside the first ten minutes before setting up Senegalese attacker Ismaila Sarr for Watford’s second goal on 42 minutes.
Dennis became the fourth Nigerian player in history to score on his English Premier League debut goal. Osaze Odemwigie, John Utaka and Odion Ighalo.
With his heroics on his Premier League debut, Dennis is the new star of Watford after being named Man of the Match.
Dennis himself said he will “remember this (debut) for all of my life”.
He was selected Man of the Match by WhoScored, with a rating of 8.78, ahead of the similarly brilliant Ismaila Sarr, who had an 8.46.

Meanwhile, his countrymen Oghenekaro Etebo and William Troost-Ekong took part in the dramatic match.
