Really sorry you’ve had to go through all that, but one thing I’ll say is, never let any human born of flesh and blood dictate your reactions to the circumstances life’s thrown you. Continuing with that relationship is NO evidence that you have let go of the past. Please don’t let people invalidate your experiences because of societal constructs.
