The 3-day Weekend to Remember conference (watch promo video) has been helping couples create the kind of memories that build healthy marriages. Whether you're engaged, newlywed, married for 40 years or remarried, enrich your marriage and begin a godly legacy for your family by attending a conference near you (Canada) or (USA). It'll be an experience you'll never forget! – Contact us before you sign up for a conference, because if you already give to Rob and Carrie as missionaries, we can get you a great discount!
We also have three one-day conferences. FamilyLife is partnering with churches to reach out to couples and families in their community and with Christian business people to enrich the married lives of their employees.
Real Marriage Conference (watch promo video) Partnering with churches to provide resources and marriage enrichment training, FamilyLife’s one-day Real Marriage conference is designed for couples who may never otherwise darken a church door. Real Marriage gives couples tools to take their relationship to the next level by discovering what real commitment, real communication, real companionship and real closeness look like. Presented in a fast-paced, fun-filled, media-driven fashion, couples will laugh and cry their way to a better understanding of each other.
To date, 40 churches across Canada will have hosted a Real Marriage conference with over 2,000 participants hearing God’s blueprint for life and marriage. Now with a fully developed program, conference materials and a follow-up strategy for churches, the conference circuit is in in full swing. Numerous speaker couples will continue to be trained to accommodate the high demand for this outreach event. By translating the conference material into Spanish, FamilyLife has also taken Real Marriage to Paraguay to equip churches to host local conferences in the Latin American country. A multiplying number of over 100 speaker couples have been trained and the ministry is spreading rapidly throughout the country as a key element of the Cities of the World strategy. Australia, Singapore, India and Peru have also expressed interest in FamilyLife conference models and materials.
Next Level Conference What goes on in the home directly affects production in the workplace. Designed for Christian business people who want to provide marriage enrichment training for their employees, while impacting them with the Gospel, the Next Level conference will take marriages and businesses to new heights. The training they receive will prove beneficial, not only in their marriages, but also in their work habits and attitudes. This translates into higher production, efficiency, and creativity for any business.
The sessions are a mix of teaching, video features, and projects, interlaced with experiences from the speakers’ own marriages. The fifth session, which is optional, presents ‘Real Change’ as the difference God makes in a marriage. By presenting biblical truths without attaching Christian language, Next Level is adaptable to many different business scenarios and at the same time, shows concern for employees that extends beyond the walls of the business. A number of corporate conferences have already been held in Canada and Washington and will continue to increase as demand for this unique conference grows. LEGACY Parenting Conference Parenting isn’t easy and at times we wish each child came with an owner’s manual. LEGACY is a conference that gives parents principles, tools and encouragement from the Creator of families - who is the author of the greatest parenting book ever written! It’s exciting to see these time-tested principles working effectively in each family’s unique situation.
LEGACY is an effective outreach event. The practical and Biblical principles are presented in a sensitive fashion that shows the wisdom of Scripture. Bridges will be built that will help open doors for future discussions about spiritual relationships. Conference topics include: Parental Perspectives - the most common mistakes parents make... and a better plan; Building Confident Kids - instilling a healthy sense of self-value in your child; The Parent’s Changing Role - how your job changes as your child matures; Societal Hurdles - responding to the cultural forces shaping your child; Character
Counts - imparting godly character to your child; Cultivating the Soul - a parent’s discovery of their child’s significance. (find out how to host a parenting conference in your church).
